A2 Virtual+ Principal

My career with Ann Arbor Public Schools started in 2000. During my tenure, I have taught high school mathematics at Pioneer, Huron, and Skyline during my career. I started my online teaching career during the summer of 2007 by designing and creating the framework for our current online mathematics classes. Previous to my current position, I served as Online Learning Coordinator, which involved developing online curriculum and supporting teachers who use online spaces and students who work in those spaces.

I became the A2 Virtual+ principal in 2022 and enjoy supporting students, families, and staff in this position. My goal is to continue our work on creating a personalized, student-centered, flexible, and accommodating learning option for students. A2 Virtual+ has allowed students to develop and adjust their learning goals based on their needs. Those needs include: overcoming scheduling issues, accessing classes that are not available in their building, focusing on mental and physical health, participating in learning opportunities that are not local, and traveling.
